Architecture in nature can exist in harmony or disparity. The Suspension House is a prime example of the former; anchored above a creek by the flanks of a bedrock hill, it works with the natural environment around it, rather than fighting against it. To illustrate this relationship, our Virtual Reality experience portrays the house in nature’s many states. The user is taken on a trip through different key locations as the weather time of day changes. We created hand-sketched storyboards and a cinematic trailer rendered in real-time in Unreal Engine.

This project won the prestigious 2018 3D Award in the Interactive Category. Now entering its 15th year, the 3D Awards represent the architectural visualization industry’s highest honor and we are honored to have received this award.
